Eclipse and dark of the moon

On June 16, 2011, in Blog, Comics, Humor, irregular, by Amiya
A total lunar eclipse is taking place on June 15, 2011  is a relatively rare central lunar eclipse where the center point of Earth's shadow passes across the Moon. The last time a lunar eclipse was closer to the center of the earth's shadow was on July 16, 2000. The next central total lunar eclipse will be on July 27, 2018. I thought of catching the site of the wonderful event, but unfortunately the moon was too low for me to watch through the dense jungle of buildings and apartments. So I watched it live on youtube; though never a substitute for real life experience I did learn a lot from the commentary that was going on. While I was watching I did a quick comic strip thinking that while the slow moving moon (wrt earth) is not that fascinating it must be a site worth watching from the moon itself.
