Add Color Tint to Landscapes

On January 13, 2011, in Gallery, Photoshop, by Amiya
Wanna add some punch to your landscapes. This tint effect will make your photoslook magical. Its easy to achieve as well Lets start with this photo. This picture is fine and perfect. Lets make it look mystical. Open the picture in Photoshop. Press Q to enter quick mask mode. Select the rectangular marquee tool. Draw a rectangle around the sea. Now chose the linear gradient tool. and draw a gradient inside the box from bottom to top. Get out of mask mode by pressing Q. Press shift+ctrl+I to inverse the selection. Now you'll have a selection around the sea. Although this looks like a simple rectangular selection it's actually a gradual gradient selection. Now create a new adjustment layer - type hue and saturation. Use following settings. Do a similar selection for the sky by entering quick mask mode. For this selection again create a adjustment layer - type hue/saturation. This time use these settings. If you want you can fiddle around these values. This is what I got. Looks cool isn't it?
