Backdrops were real pain in ass

On December 12, 2010, in Gallery, Print Media, by Amiya

I was going through  old backups and stumbled upon some raw  files used as backdrops in Kshitij 2008. These backdrops were a pain in ass for the design team. They were unbelievable in size (PSD files in Gigs!) took eternity to open and the worst part even a small change here and there as requested means a struggle that could last for hours. Worst of all the management team had to run to Kolkatta to get it printed because of its humongous size.

This one was for X-Games and I think was may be 10 feet high and was hooked to a wall on Vikramshila. Love the simple color and contrast.

This one was for TOAT, and must have been the biggest backdrop that year. Was a quick composition mixing few stock photos from here and there. I remember we were not having the vector logo for CEAT. So had to trace and recreate it in illustrator.

This one was used in Netaji. The dark background was suitable to give a very good ambiance to the indoor auditorium.

This one was used in Kalidas and must be atleast 35 feet wide.
