FITS – realtime experimental tool

FITS was a group project lead by me. It was the grand project for Soft computing course and was ranked second (The first ranked project made it to an IEEE conference and their work was based on Sai Abhidan's seam carving techniques). The binaries won't run on Vista or above 🙂 FITS is the ultimate future of all parking systems. FITS stands for Fuzzy Intelligent Transport System and is a fuzzy logic driven autonomous vehicle control logic. FITS is implemented as a simulation in our project along with a very advanced number plate recognition system. FITS implementation architecture is modular in nature. With logic completely separate from other entities. FITS accepts its logic as a MATLAB Fuzzy Inference System (fis) file.

  • Design a FIS file in Matlab based on the user defined member functions and rules given the fixed input parameters and output variables
  • Analyze the motion of the vehicle based on this very different FIS structure, by taking the same into the FITS system, that too in real time!!!

FITS integration engine

FITS integration engine is a part of FITS project and allows the GUI to read in and process Matlab fis files. The fis integration engine is written in ANSI complaint C and complied into a DLL (Dynamic Linked Library) in DEV C++ and linked at runtime to the GUI. The DLL can be located in FITS download package and Source code is included in FITS source package. Detailed documentation is included with FITS download package.
